At the weekend I had a little walk around my garden and the parents garden. It is beautiful to just take in all the new growth and flowers that are starting to come out. I love this time of year, when the sun is getting warmer and everything just grows!
Last year my friend moved house and gave me some cuttings of her plants. These gorgeous large daisies plants have really taken hold and now producing these stunning flowers.
This enormous broom like bush is a couple of years old now and is full of flowers. The smell is amazing when you get closer to it.
A close up of the flower petals – not bad for my iphone camera!
This is a white version of the pink bush. I think its much more elegant. It’s a year younger than the pink bush.
These lovely yellow flowers are in my parents garden and I am not sure what type of flower they are. If anyone knows please enlighten me!
In amongst the weeds is this perfect pink little flower, I thought it deserved a photo!
I hope you enjoyed my mini tour of the gardens.
Are you out enjoying the Spring growth in your garden?
What types of flowers and plants do you plan to grow?
My older sister lives in Vancouver but this week she had to travel 2 hours to a place up in the mountains called Kamloops. This is the picture of the town from her hotel window. Unlike Vancouver it’s dry and dusty there.
I love the pictures she sends me over from time to time and love to share them (with her permission of course!).
I hope you are having a lovely weekend- thanks for reading.
This is one of my sisters photos from the CN Tower in Toronto, where they have snow at the moment in April! Mind you we were driving home from Tescos yesterday and it started hailing really heavy here in Cornwall.
It was taken at sunset. I really love the atmosphere and blue colours in this photo.
I hope you are all having a great weekend, and it’s not to cold where you are.
Baby girl and me.
Wishing you and your families a very Happy Easter, don’t eat too much chocolate!
This week my husband had a week off from work, so with baby girl in tow we made an effort to get out everyday this week while the weather was pretty good. In fact Wednesday when we went down to St Michael’s Mount was actually the cloudiest day. The rest of the week has been cold but sunny.
How has your week been?
I have had a fascination with coloured glass windows for as long as I can remember as a kid. There is something so peaceful about them and they brighten up dull buildings. This one is in a listed building that has been turned into a dental practice.
I think my curiosity came from Sundays going to the local chapel and Sunday School when I was a child and seeing all the beautiful stained glass windows.
