When I was asked if I wanted to review a couple of products from Red Candy, I couldn’t turn them down. If you haven’t heard of them before you must check them out! They have many different items for every room in your house. It took me a couple of days just to choose two things. It’s one of those places that has everything you want. Funky, stylish and very cool, and not forgetting quirky and retro of course, Red Candy is the place to go!
Anyway as you know we have just moved into a new house last week, so I was looking for a couple of new things to go into my new kitchen. I love unique chopping boards, so when I discovered this Forminimal two board set from Black + Blum, I had to have it in my kitchen. If you go back and look at one of my previous posts of #interiorinspitations you will see my new kitchen, and know this will fit perfectly.
They say a bad workman always blames his (or her) tools, but there is some truth in the matter. Talent can only carry you so far – you need the right tools for the job in order to push the boundaries into something exceptional. The kitchen is no different – you might be the best at distinguishing thyme from rosemary, and you might know your Julienne from your batons, but without the best tools, it’s tricky to elevate your cooking to the next level.
Here are five kitchen essentials that no budding chef should ever be without.
I love to bake and cook in my kitchen. But sometimes I’m limited due to the time I have spare. Nowadays we have some incredible technology for the kitchen, but sometimes the simple kitchen gadgets really are the best.
Here are a few of the gadgets that everyone absolutely needs in their kitchen. Just to make life that little bit easier.
A Kitchen Slicer
One of the most time-consuming parts of putting a dish together is preparing the vegetables. It can be such a chore. Especially when you’ve already had a busy day, and just want to put together something healthy but quick. Having a kitchen slicer on hand will save you time and hassle. When you can prepare fruits and vegetables quickly, it means you’re much more inclined to include more of the good stuff into your diet. Much cheaper than a food processor and just as efficient (if not more) when it comes to slicing. Plus if you have a smaller kitchen it takes up less space so you don’t have to clutter up your work surfaces with extra appliances.
