It’s a good idea to get your children involved in managing the home while they’re still young. But this isn’t about making them do the housework as some kind of punishment. It can be made fun and interesting for them if you take the right kind of approach. In fact, there are some tasks around the home that always offer great ways to have family fun. So, get them started early, and show them that helping around the home doesn’t have to be a chore.
Now baby girl is 8 months old she is really getting into her books. We love to have a few minutes reading and looking through books. As you know I’m a huge book lover and I want her to have a similar love of books.
We were sent a lovely bright and colourful book called Jungle Jam to review. I’m also running a giveaway for your own chance to win a copy at the end of the post.
We love to go out for walks and have a day out around our favourite place Malpas, Truro down here in Cornwall. So when we were invited to take part with the Aldi #MamiaDaysOut challenge we knew exactly where we were going to go for a little picnic.
On Friday the sun was shining and the blue sky was out so we decided to go for a little picnic before our Baby Sensory class. Although it was fairly cold, well I suppose it is Autumn, it was a gorgeous day.
During my hunt on Twitter for items to add to my Christmas Gift Guide list, the lovely people at Gotrovo contacted me asking if I would like to review their treasure hunt game.
Ever since I was a kid I have loved treasure hunts. you could always find me and my older sister out hunting for treasures as kids around the old rough mine areas where we lived. We used to find old bits of pottery, old coins and pieces of fool’s gold.
So you can imagine the big kid inside me getting all excited over the chance to review a treasure hunt game!
So What Is Gotrovo?
Gotrovo is a family treasure hunt game suitable for ages 3-8 years old and 1 or more players. The objective of the game is to follow a trail of clues to reach the treasure at the end. You collect gold coins as you go.

I’m relatively new to parenting as you know, so I have been reading lots of different articles on how to become the ideal parent. Baby girl is 7 months old and we have now started to use the word ‘no’ with her to start introducing those boundaries. When you say no to her she will stop what ever she’s doing and look up. I feel as if she is listening.
