I had meant to write this post a few days ago, but I have been so busy with baby girl I didn’t realise the end of the month was here! So here it is – looking back over the month of March.
March has been a great month for us. My husband had his birthday and a week off from work. This gave us a really great first family week together. We went out and did something every day. This was great for me as I haven’t been able to drive due to my c-section.
We went out for lunch to our local Brewers Fayre, which was not the best experience I had as a breastfeeding mother, you can read about that Here
We went for some lovely walks around where we live. Popped down to Hayle for one of the best Cornish pasties around at Philps, then drove down to Marazion to eat them overlooking the sea and St Michael’s Mount. That’s what I call lunch with a view!
I am a huge cake lover as you know from my one of my older posts, on Gluten-Free Cake
and when bakerdays
asked me if I wanted to review a letterbox cake for them I was so excited! They said I could browse their website and choose any design I wanted or they even said I could upload my own photo to put on a letterbox cake!
This is what arrived through my letterbox! The letterbox cake was beautifully packaged in a compact box with lots of other bits and bobs as well. There was a couple of candles and balloons with a cute note card. The cake itself was well protected in a gorgeous tin, which had little holes in so the cake could breathe. This little touch shoes me how much bakerdays care about the delivery of the cake.
The leaflet enclosed describes what bakerdays offer on their site. Including what size cakes they make and their 6 delicious flavours of cake. They are Vanilla, Chocolate, Fruit, Half & Half, Gluten Free and Dairy Free. So something for everyone!
Bakerdays offer loads of different designs for birthday cakes which they will personalise for you as well. You can check out their designs here.
I will be checking out the gorgeous cupcakes
they also offer for upcoming birthday parties!
So lets get back to the cake I chose! This is the design I wanted on my cake, I chose it from this range
but adapted it for myself. The lovely people at bakerdays added the cute little message on the side! I love it!
I got sent the amazing chocolate chip cake, it is very moist and rich, perfect for a chocolate cake! This letterbox sized cake is perfect for 3-4 portions and is priced at £14.99.
I love this idea from bakerdays of sending a loved one a cake for what ever occasion you need.
