Since having baby girl I have found my love of kids books and The Giant and the Three Dwarves did not disappoint. We have quite a big collection of children’s books now, and I know as baby girl gets older she will love her collection as much as I do.
This is the story of three dwarves, Hop, Skip and Jump. Tired and hungry after a long journey, they knock at the door of a large, lonely house.
It belongs to a big hungry giant…..
I feel so lucky to be able to review the new Stick to Stigu planner. Earlier on in the year I was grateful to review the 2016 version. Now here is the bright shiny new 2017 version. I’m a HUGE fan of Stick to Stigu. I just had to get that in before I follow with my review!
I have used my 2016 planner every day. Planning out not only blog stuff but I also use it for my personal life as well. It’s fantastic to add all of baby girl’s appointments in as well as my own.
At the weekends I love to sit down and plan out my week ahead. Seeing my week on one page makes it so much more manageable.
The planner is full of ideas, inspiration, things to do and tips to make your life more relaxed. At the beginning there is a page to write down your goals for 2017. This is fabulous for looking back over from time to time throughout the year reminding yourself of the goals you have set.
I’m very pleased to be on the Zak and Jen’s Astronomical Adventures – Tinsel Town book tour. Tinsel Town is written by Natalie Page and illustrated by Chris Rivers Nuttall. It’s a fantastic children’s book in the Zak and Jen Astronomical Adventures series. Which started with The Petal Planet.
As you know we are huge book lovers. I’m sharing that love for books with baby girl. She might not yet understand what they are about but at 9 months old she love’s to turn the pages when we read together.
Best friends Zak and Jen love exploring space using their magic umbrellas. This time, they find a Christmas themed planet, but there is one thing missing, the inhabitants! Join the characters as they make some festive friends, and realise how important it is to appreciate every day. Tinsel Town is written for children over five years old, however younger children will also enjoy the rhythm of the story and its festive theme.
When I was younger I remember my older sister getting a lava lamp for Christmas. It was the most wonderful thing ever. I used to stare at it for ages watching the molten wax rising up and falling down. Over the years I haven’t really thought about getting a lava lamp myself, although I would love one!
When the lovely people at Mathmos contacted me about the release of their new lava lamp called the Neo, I thought fantastic! My chance to finally have my own lava lamp, and to really explore how they work. Lava lamps are a beautiful work of science.
Growing up around animals on a small holding gave me such a love for nature and all widlife. This time of year as Autumn is here and Winter is creeping upon us give a thought for the birds in your garden. It’s cold and food is getting harder to find, so why not set up a bird feeder in your garden?
It can be fun activity as well for getting your kids interested in activities in the garden. I remember when I was little mum used to have a cute little pair of robins that lived in the trees in the garden. We used to leave out seeds and fat balls. I loved hearing them singing away.
So when the lovely people at Boxwild contacted me asking if I would love to review one of their gift boxes that they do. I thought it would be a great idea to start attracting more birds to our garden this Winter.
We got sent the Bird Feeder Gift Box to have a look at. They also do the fatty box and various bird seed subscription packages and wildlife subscription boxes.
Now I know baby girl is only 8 months old so way too early for potty training. Although Holly Willoughby did potty train her one year old son so she claimed earlier this year. As a new mum I honestly don’t have the foggiest idea when to start potty training. But I’m sure my mother’s instinct will kick in and I will know when she’s ready!
I know many of you are mum’s and some of you are around the potty training stage I expect, so when I was asked if I would like to review and host a giveaway for the Victoria Chart Company, I thought it would be a great idea. I’m sure you can also pass on some tips to me for when my time comes around…hint hint!
