Dad, husband, son, grandad – whoever it is, treat the man in your life to practical beard gifts they can use again and again.
Let’s be honest; living with males has its many perks alongside some rather annoying habits. There are the fun times of going for a Sunday walk in the countryside, watching a good film or having a gathering with friends and family, and then there’s leaving the toilet seat up and scattering beard hairs in the sink from shaving! The good definitely outweighs the bad thankfully, and what better way to show your appreciation to the men in your life than to get them a gift. Beard gifts, although they may not usually be your first port of call, could be the ideal gift you’re after for those big occasions.
Although some of us don’t want to talk about that “Christmas” word just yet, the festive season will soon be upon us, and it’s never too early to start searching for those perfect gifts for your loved ones.
Today, I’ve teamed up with The English Shaving Company to bring you a great gift guide for the bearded man in your life. Whether they’re the clean-shaven type or have a beard that’s their pride and joy, you’ll find a more than suitable contender in this guide!
What do you buy for a sister’s 40th birthday that lives overseas? I want it to be a special gift as you only turn 40 once, but of course it can’t really be breakable and something that is allowed to fly to that country.
It’s gonna be weird not seeing my sister on such a special birthday, it was the same a few years back when I had my 30th. We are very close, always have been but it’s hard when you live over 3000 miles apart in different time zones. When we do see each other we catch up as if we saw each other only yesterday.
This year Father’s Day falls on the 18th June, it will be my husband’s second one as a dad, but his first without his own father around. So I want to get him special, yet unusual gifts for Father’s Day.
I always find the best place to find unusual gifts is online. If you search hard enough you can find little website gems, like UncommonGoods which have a fabulous selection of gifts for men for Father’s Day.
Listed below are some of my favourite finds from there.
Cheese and Crackers Serving Board.
I love the quirkiness of the board and I’m sure it’s a gift my husband would adore. If you want to go that step further, they also do a personalised chopping board for that extra special gift. Click here for personalised gifts.
“A snack spread simply isn’t a snack spread without cheese and crackers. Highlight the all-important “&” with this text-friendly cheeseboard, made from North American maple and featuring a teak oil finish. When it’s not smartly displaying a hearty feast of brie and rosemary crackers, this handsome design makes an artful addition to your kitchen sideboard or bar tabletop. Made in Dorset, Vermont.”
Here is part 2 of our Christmas Gift Guide for 2016. This guide features gifts for kids. From stocking presents to teething toys and books. Happy Shopping!
A couple of months back we reviewed the full size Gotrovo treasure hunt game. It was fantastic and great for parties. If you are looking for a stocking filler, the Gotrovo mini is great. It comes in a fab little case and so great for carrying around. It’s perfect for holidays and visiting friends.
£9.50 (ages 3-8 for 1 or more players)
For the fashion concious lady we have these fabulous collars from The Shirt Company. I think they are fun and great for dressing up a going out or the smart business outfit. This is the Viola.
This collar is not quite as formal as the Viola. It’s known as the Peony. Very pretty in black. The Shirt Company really has lots of pretty shirts and tops available on their online shop.
Why not take a look and treat someone this Christmas?
I love all types of curds. On toast, great for using in cakes oh and my favourite – on scones with Cornish clotted cream. Yum! This passionfruit and lemon curd is amazing from Scarlett & Mustard. Fresh and zingy. A great little gift. Why not add their blackcurrent & Star Anise, Lime & Mint and Toffee Apple curds to a little gift basket?
A couple of weeks back I reviewed The Book of Everyone. These books really do make great personalised gifts. This one is for my husband for Christmas, but I’ve gone and ordered one for my sister as well.
I love the way they take you on a journey back in time. You can learn about the day you were born, What was the number one single, amongst other facts.
A great gift for that person you never know what to buy for them.
