I had my previous car for 9 years. In fact it was only my second car. The first car I had – my trusty Ford Fiesta I had even longer! I believe in taking pride in looking after a car and keeping up to date with timely maintenance. This will save you money in the long run, as well as extending your car’s life. Plus helping to limit costly breakdowns.
The Easter holidays are nearly upon us now. Then of course after that you have the May Bank holidays and half term, before you know it the long Summer holidays are here! That may be wishful thinking but coming out of Winter which has been a cold one – thanks to the Beast from the East. It may just be a good time for getting your car ready for the Spring holidays.
A couple of times a year we always make a long car journey from Cornwall to Derbyshire/Yorkshire to see family. Sometimes we have made this journey in Winter, and I can tell you the Winter roads up there are nothing like the ones down here in Cornwall. A couple of years ago in Winter we were driving through the Peak District and it began to snow. I have to say I was a little scared and I wasn’t the one driving!
We are making the trip up to Derbyshire in October and I want to share with you some tips on surviving a long car and also how to stay safe.
