As you know from some of my older posts, Canada is a special place for me. Yes My sister lives there and yes it’s my favourite holiday destination. But I have never shared my tops tips with you on why Canada especially Niagara Falls is one of the best places to visit. I want to add that Canadians are extremely friendly and helpful so don’t be afraid to ask for help or directions while you are there.
Niagara Falls is one of natures wonders of the world. The majestic falls are stunning. Taking a boat ride on the Lady of the Mist around the falls is not to be missed. If you head to the falls at night they do a breathtaking light show with the falls lit up in different colours. We stayed in a hotel right on the falls and the relaxing sound of the water from the waterfalls by night is amazing.
My Sunday Photo this week is an oldie from our holiday to Canada 6 years ago. I love how straight up and down these trees are by the roadside.
Happy Sunday x
Hello, this is My Sunday Photo. On Friday I recieved a lovely package from Canada from my sister. It ws full of baby clothes for baby girl ( which i will show you later in the week! ) and all these chocolate eggs for my husband and I. Unlike the eggs here in the UK which are foil wrapped, these eggs are in little plastic cases which split in half to open. Such a genius idea!
I don’t like Cadbury Creme Eggs, so my husband had them. Canadian Cadbury chocolate tastes different from the UK chocolate, in my opinion it’s not as nice. I would go as far to say it’s more of an atificial flavour.
The Fudgee eggs were the best. A superb fudgy centre, very chocolately and similar to a ganache. I got to have the Oreo one as well. That was very yummy.
Have you tried American or Canadian chocolate before?
What did you think of the taste?
My older sister lives in Vancouver but this week she had to travel 2 hours to a place up in the mountains called Kamloops. This is the picture of the town from her hotel window. Unlike Vancouver it’s dry and dusty there.
I love the pictures she sends me over from time to time and love to share them (with her permission of course!).
I hope you are having a lovely weekend- thanks for reading.
This is one of my sisters photos from the CN Tower in Toronto, where they have snow at the moment in April! Mind you we were driving home from Tescos yesterday and it started hailing really heavy here in Cornwall.
It was taken at sunset. I really love the atmosphere and blue colours in this photo.
I hope you are all having a great weekend, and it’s not to cold where you are.
