The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club Blog Tour

Today it’s my turn to be on the blog tour for the Fairvale Ladies Book Club. I suppose what drew me to this book was the clever use of the words “book club” in the title. Set around the late 1970’s in The Northern Territory. It was a different read to anything I’ve read before, but first here is a little about The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club by Australian author Sophie Green.

Review and Giveaway: Miss Mary’s Daughter by Diney Costeloe

Today it’s my stop on the blog tour for Miss Mary’s Daughter by Diney Costeloe. This one in particular interested me due to it being partly set in Cornwall. I love historical fiction and Diney’s new novel doesn’t disappoint.

Book Review and Giveaway: Behind Her Back by Jane Lythell

Today I’m on the blog tour for Behind her back by Jane Lythell. It’s the second book of the StoryWorld series, but I still found it easy enough to read without reading the first.

Court of Lions Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

Today I’m on the blog tour for Court of Lions by Jane Johnson. I loved getting stuck into this book and read it pretty fast! In fact I finished it just yesterday! Jane Johnson is a Cornish author so this added another dimension for me wanting to read it being from Cornwall myself.

Before we get onto my review, here is a little bit about Court of Lions.

Blog Tour: Christmas Angels by Nadine Dorries

Today I’m happy to say it’s my turn on the blog tour for Nadine Dorries Christmas Angels. As you know from my previous posts I’m a huge fan of Nadine Dorries and her Lovely Lane series.

You can catch up here with my reviews of The Children of Lovely Lane and The Mother’s of Lovely Lane.

Christmas Angels by Nadine Dorries

Book Description

The nurses of Lovely Lane face Christmas dramas at the busiest time of the St Angelus year.

Christmas may be the season of goodwill, festive cheer and family cheer for some – but not for the poor of 1950s Liverpool. And for St Angelus Hospital in Lovely Lane, it is frantically busy. There are the old, the dying, the children –and the emergencies. The nurses, known locally as the Angels of Lovely Lane, are run off their feet. Dana, Beth, Pammy and Victoria hardly have time to catch their breath, let alone have a Christmas of their own.

Gripping, gritty, moving, and often humorous too, this is vintage Nadine, a story from the heart of a writer who knows exactly what it is like to be a nurse in a big hospital at Christmas.
