Word of the Week – Planning 29/04/2016

Here we are again! It’s Friday! Happy Friday! I hope you all have that Friday feeling especially as it’s a bank holiday weekend! I know I’ve got the Friday feeling as it means we get 3 whole days of family time. We don’t plan on doing too much this weekend – I really need to do some housework though! My husband deserves a relaxing weekend as he’s had a tiresome week.
On Wednesday he had to drive to Bristol for an all day meeting, which if you live in Cornwall that means a 3 hour drive there and back the same day. Plus he still had to get up at 5:20am the next day for work again. It’s hard for him with an 11 week old baby as well that wakes up for her dream feeds at 4am. So I plan on giving him a nice chilled out weekend where he can sit and watch the Russian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.
So now that it’s the end of another week it’s time to find one word that sums up the week I’ve had.
This weeks word of the week is Planning
Word of the Week - Planning 29/04/2016

This week has been a big planning week for me, that’s why I’m using it as my Word of the Week.
I have been planning lots of different blog posts. From book reviews, to a fashion post and of course a few baby posts thrown in.
In terms of my blog for planning, this week has been my biggest week yet for being contacted by brands for reviews. I have had quite a few, so I’ve been a busy bee planning what to post where and when. I’m so excited!!!
Another thing I’ve been planning for is to take up the blogging everyday in May challenge run by rosalilium. There is a calender on her link up which you can use for topics each day to write about, or you can use your own. I will most likely be using my own topics unless I get stuck!
I took up blogging everyday (#BEDM) in May last year and only managed to miss two posts! This year I want to complete it!
I’m fairly confident I can achieve this, as this month I’ve only missed a couple of days of blogging and I’m sure good planning will see me through.
Onto a bit of personal planning. My husband and I have have also decided in 6 years time to have the holiday of a lifetime at Disneyland, Florida. It will be for his 40th and baby girls 6th birthdays. We decided to start planning how much we can save and put it in a separate little account. I know if we don’t start saving a bit each month we will get stuck when the time comes. The thing is, we are also planning on moving in those years between as well, that’s why we decided we needed a separate holiday fund pot. I love to plan ahead for things!
I hope you have all had a good week.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and hopefully the weather will be nice!

Word of the Week 25/03/2016

This week I have chosen Independence as my word of the week as I have gained back the ability to go out in my car and drive again. I had a c- section with baby girl which you can read about here in My Birth Story, so was advised not to drive for 6 weeks as it would have invalidated my car insurance. To be honest the first couple of weeks I didn’t feel like going anywhere anyway, but these last few weeks have been hard as I live 20 mins away by car from my mum and she doesn’t drive so I have been waiting till my husband was off at the weekend to go around there.

My Word of The Week 29/05/2015

This is My Word of the Week – Tired
Tired, an adjective – in need of sleep, or rest; weary
I am linking up with thereadingresidence once again with their fabulous Word of the Week linky. I have linked up quite a few times now and really love browsing over other bloggers Word of the Week’s and seeing what they have got up to! It does seem a little nosey but sometimes you can’t help but peek into other people’s lives, as they always seem much more interesting than your own.

So on to My Word of the Week, Tired. I have been attempting the Blog every day in May (#BEDM) challenge, and have been doing fairly well for me so far until this week……….
I think my total feeling of exhaustion and tiredness started when we went up to see Jimmy Carr’s tour at Plymouth Pavilion’s last Saturday. (I am currently writing a review on his show at the moment, which will be ready in a few days) Plymouth is 60 miles away from where I live in Cornwall so it is a really tiring journey there and back and it was Bank Holiday Weekend as well double traffic!. We didn’t get home till about 1am and I haven’t caught back up on the sleep I missed all week.
I have always been a person who always goes to bed early and early to rise, so heading to bed at 1am does me no favours for the rest of the week…. I must be getting older!

My Word of the Week 1/5/2015

I cannot believe Friday has come around again so quickly! So as it’s Friday that can only mean one thing! Word of the Week time! I am joining up again with the amazing and fabulous at thereadingresidence Word of the Week linky! #WotW
My word for this week is Excited. I have been excited this week for a couple of reasons. The first being that I was contacted by bakerdays.com asking if I wanted to review a cake for them! This was my first time i have been contacted to review a product for my blog, so I jumped up screaming from my chair in excitement! I mean of all things it had to be cake! My second favourite food after chocolate of course!
Excited
The second thing I have been really excited about this week is joining up with another linky. Its the Blog everyday in May challenge #BEDM. With working full time, It is going to be a huge commitment but I am totally up for it! Also as today is the first of the month this post counts as my first May entry!
The third bit of excitement in my life is of course it being Bank Holiday weekend! I work Saturdays so for me having Sunday and Monday off is a mini break! My husband has been away this week with his work for a couple of days so having this weekend together is something we are both looking forward to and treasure. Roll on 3pm Saturday when I finish work for the weekend!
I hope you all have an exciting and fantastic Bank Holiday weekend!
