The Sunday Pregnancy Diaries #2

How will I cope with a baby and a toddler?

I have many questions on how to cope with a baby and a toddler and here are a few to start with. Baby girl will be 2 years 2 months when baby number 2 arrives.

The Sunday Pregnancy Diaries #2 - How will I cope with a baby and a toddler?

How will I manage?

You see Baby girl is a little live wire. She’s into everything, want’s to be everywhere and doesn’t nap during the day anymore.

I stopped breastfeeding her at 18 months old. So I’m wondering how will she react to me breastfeeding a baby. She is still very clingy to me. Loves to sit on me loves to snuggle up and always wants her mumeee. I don’t want her to feel pushed away. I still want the same closeness with her.

Little Angels Comfort & Protect Nappy Review

Last Summer we got to try out the Little Angels nappies from Asda when baby girl was just 5 months old they were the size 3’s from the Supreme Protection range. This year we have been asked again to try out and let you know what we think of the new Comfort & Protect Little Angels nappies.

We are up to size 5’s now, so need a nappy that will withstand a walking and very active toddler who will not stay still when you are changing her nappy. We have been testing these nappies for two weeks, and they are different to our normal nappy which is another supermarket brand.

Read on and find out what we thought about the Comfort & Protect range.

New Mum Stories: Fifty-Something Fruit Cake

Hello and welcome back to New Mum Stories. This week’s installment is from Jo over at Fifty-Something Fruit Cake Jo’s story is from her memories of being a new mum to her son over 28 years ago.

Fifty-Something Fruit Cake

Over to you Jo….

Remembering being a new mum

I always knew I wanted to be a mum one day. Something in my DNA told me that I should be a mum and that was all there was to it. After 6 years of marriage I found out that my dream was to come true and my first baby was on the way. A trouble free pregnancy and birth followed and apart from a few stitches and a day of bed rest after I fainted in the hospital toilet all was straightforward.

That is until I took my son home. Why had no-one warned me how scary it was looking after a newborn? While I was in hospital all was serene. I fed him, changed him and napped on my bed while he slept. I waddled into the dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner and chatted to the other new mums as we wandered around in our PJs. We were a happy bunch and had a ball teasing the contraceptive nurse when she suggested we would ever want to have sex again. I loved being a mum and thought I was a natural at it. Did I come down to earth with a bump when I left the cocoon of the maternity ward.

11 Month Baby Review – Health Visitor

It’s been a while since I did the last review of baby girl, in fact that was her 9 month review. Later on I will let you know how we got on at the health visitor.

But first we come a long way since she was 9 months old in terms of her development. The biggest thing I’m so excited to share with you that I have to blurt out first is that she took her first few steps unaided!!! In New Years Eve as well!!! A fantastic start to 2017!!!!

11 Month Baby Review - Health Visitor
She had been building up to it for a few weeks. Cruising along the sofas gaining confidence all the time. I was sitting on the sofa opposite to my husband and she wanted to come over to me I could see it! So instead of holding on to everything to get to me she had her little arms out for balance and took those precious first 3 steps all by her self. We were so proud and so excited that both of us got to see her do it for the first time.

As each day goes past now she really is gaining her confidence and is finding herself that I know in no-time she will be running around.

So now I have a toddler!!
