Looking back at July – My Sunday Photo 31/07/2016

Well as we say goodbye to July it’s been a fantastic month. 3 family birthdays, our first family holiday and seeing my sister over from Vancouver.

So instead of just having one My Sunday photo I have decided to show you 3.

The first one is of baby girls great Nan’s 100th birthday cake. It was fantastic and a great memory to treasure of their first meeting. The youngest in the family born in 2016 and the oldest born in 1916.

My second photo is from our first holiday as a family of 3. Scarborough is a special place for me and my husband so that’s where we went. It was a beautiful day when we took the photo. The donkeys were out on the beach. The pirate ship taking visitors on a little boat trip around the harbour. We had fish and chips followed by an ice-cream from the Harbour Bar.

A great day.

The last photo represents my sister. I wish we had more time to spend together this time than we did when she was over. It was lovely to see her meet baby girl for the first time.

So this is  the view from her apartment in Vancouver right now as I’m writing this. There is an 8 hours time difference where she lives. I always joke to her that I live in her future!

The sun is just setting over the North Shore mountains in the background of the photo of Down Town Vancouver. It’s 9:40pm there and very hot.

Well there you have 3 very special moments from July. I love joining in with My Sunday Photo each week. It gives me the chance to reflect over the week. Or in this case the month.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

What very special memories you have shared here Rachel. I love the cake! I have fond childhood memories of Scarborough too, and it’s innocence and old-fashioned fun have never changed. So lovely for you to have shared special times with your sister too. #MySundayPhoto (or photos!)
