World In Danger: Tomorrow could be a very different day – Review

*Ad-gifted: We were gifted World In Danger in exchange for this post

Reading is so important for kids, each night I read to L before bed. Her most favourite book (yes the same one each night that she can read back to me now) and one other. This last week the other book we’ve been reading is called World in Danger.

The author is an 8 year old boy called Frankie Morland. He wrote a song called World in Danger and this is the book that accompanies that song. Frankie is passionate about raising awareness of climate change and doing all he can to protect the animals he adores.

It’s an eye-opener to read a book about climate change as seen through the eyes of an 8 year old that is aimed at 5-7 year-olds.

Book Description

Discover the beauty of the world around us and why we must protect it, in this magical, sing-along picture book.

Eight year old environmentalist, Frankie Morland wants to make a difference to the world. So, he decided to write a song…

In this colourful book, Frankie’s thoughtful lyrics sit alongside beautiful illustrations which remind us of all there is to love about planet Earth and just how urgent it is that we take care of it.

World In Danger features facts about Frankie’s favourite endangered animals from cute red pandas, to colourful toucans, to buzzing bees, and simple activities you can do at home to do your bit to save the environment.

Budding musicians can learn to play Frankie’s song on the guitar or piano by following the musical score at the back of the book – and everyone can follow the lyrics and sing along!

Ideal for little nature lovers, as well as fans of Frankie’s song and its inspirational message.

The Song

What We Thought

A fantastic children’s book on current environmental issues that are a concern to all of us. The fact that it’s written by a young child makes it even more “stand out” and how this generation is aware of the environment around them. Hopefully, it will help to educate others in combatting climate change.

Re purposing old clothes

The illustrations are fab and help to tell the story. You can read about Frankie’s favourite animals, fun environment facts and there are two recycling projects to do. Build a bee hotel and make handy bags from old t-shirts.
