Now baby girl is 8 months old she is really getting into her books. We love to have a few minutes reading and looking through books. As you know I’m a huge book lover and I want her to have a similar love of books.
We were sent a lovely bright and colourful book called Jungle Jam to review. I’m also running a giveaway for your own chance to win a copy at the end of the post.
Not everyone plans on growing trees in their garden. You might plant them yourself. But often you end up buying or renting a property that comes complete with trees. You might not be keen on caring for them, but perhaps you enjoy the way they look. Many trees don’t need much maintenance. But there are certain issues to which you might need to pay close attention. You might need to protect your trees from disease. You may need to keep the branches trimmed back or protect a tree’s roots. It’s possible to hire someone to care for your trees, but keen gardeners prefer to try it themselves. However, there can be challenges in caring for trees, due to their size.
Know Your Tree
If you want to care for your trees properly, it’s a good idea to get to know them first. If you plant them yourself, you know what they are. You’ve probably done some research on the care they need to make sure that it’s suitable for your level. However, if you’ve inherited a tree with a new house, you might not even know what it is. Your first job is to identify it so that you know how it grows and what you need to do to look after it. It’s important to be aware of issues such as whether it’s sensitive to the cold or any diseases.
I never expected my maternity leave to go so fast.
Roll back 10 months
I’m getting up at 4:45, that’s not true. My husband is pulling me up out of bed at 8 months pregnant to go to work on my last day. That day has come. Normality as we know it is disappearing. The next time I walk through these doors at work I will be a mum.
So here I am sitting on my stairs struggling to tie up the laces on my safety boots. Just think Rach in 10 hours time you will be free of work for 10 whole months. Truthfully all I’m thinking about is getting through this day. Baby girl loves to lie on my sciatica nerve. Standing on your feet all day is no joke. Might have to find a place to hide in!
Rest up feet up!
That won’t happen as its a Saturday.
We love to go out for walks and have a day out around our favourite place Malpas, Truro down here in Cornwall. So when we were invited to take part with the Aldi #MamiaDaysOut challenge we knew exactly where we were going to go for a little picnic.
On Friday the sun was shining and the blue sky was out so we decided to go for a little picnic before our Baby Sensory class. Although it was fairly cold, well I suppose it is Autumn, it was a gorgeous day.
Friday was a lovely but cold sunny Autumn day. We went for a little walk around the park before our baby sensory class, and the sky was so blue.
For ages I have been wanting a coffee machine at home. You know one of those ones that you can just push a button and your steaming freshly made coffee is right in front of you.
I have been hinting to my husband for Christmas. I wonder if he gets the hints! Over the next couple of months I have decided to post a series of blogs called A Christmas Wish. Basically it’s all the lovely things I would love for Christmas so it’s my very own wish list!
Recently we popped into our new local Caffe Néro that has just opened up. It’s our Saturday morning treat. I love the smell of freshly ground coffee. It’s the perfect wake-me-up. Especially since becoming a mum, when you cannot survive without coffee after being up all night.
