My husband has always been hard to buy for when it comes to watches. He is a big guy at 6 ft 5 and his arms and wrists reflects this, so a bigger watch on his wrist always looks better. When we were asked to review the Globenfeld Super Sport Limited Edition watch I thought this one would be perfect for him. I don’t know if you remember, but last year I reviewed the JORD wooden watch which is a great dress watch but it’s not really for everyday use like this beauty.
This month’s book review and giveaway is of a lovely little book called Curious Beekeeper Nina by Kristiana Ambrasa. Baby girl is now at that stage that when she wants to look at a book or me read it to her, she will find the one she wants and bring it up onto the sofa next to me. She will then snuggle in for storytime.
We not only do storytime before bed but in the afternoons as well (when I’m not at work and we are home together). I treasure these moments as she loves turning the pages and will babble along in her toddler speak as I read to her. I still don’t have much of a clue what she’s saying but it’s very important to her!
As you all know I love a good bargain. I have been really pleased with the new home furnishing bits and bobs I’ve picked up recently for the new house but I’m on the look-out for some new mugs and other china ware for the kitchen.
Last year you may remember I did a Wish-List post for items for the home, so this time I’m back with another wish list for the home, but for Summer time.
It’s funny as before I had baby girl I didn’t know anything about kids clothes, didn’t realise how quickly toddlers grow, didn’t realise that the age on kids clothes doesn’t mean a lot if you have a bigger than average child. It’s only recently that baby girl is coming into her own style and much prefers hoodies and trousers to dresses and skirts. I mean how can a toddler climb around in the mud in a dress? I don’t mean to be stereotypical but she isn’t a ribbons and dress kind of girl. My husband and I have always been open to what she wears. She is very much like I was when I was younger – into the outside life playing with sticks and stones. She is obsessed with grabbing handfuls of gravel when we are out, so loves to be in her wellies and dungarees.
We were asked by new business owner Love Millie to try out their website and designing an item of clothing. After spending a while browsing through the site we decided to design a hoodie. Perfect for my rough and tumble toddler!
Every mother wants to be able to throw the best party for their child. Year after year, parents try to create the biggest and the best parties, spending too much money and feeling far too stressed. Have you ever thought that it could be more about the special little touches that bring magic and fun to the day?
You don’t have to go OTT and try and throw a lavish party for your children to have a good time. After all, is a 5-year-old really going to know whether your table cloths were brought from Asda or John Lewis? Cut down on expensive venues, tableware and food and spend the money of memorable touches instead that really will help to ensure your little one has the best day ever.
