Dotty Fish Baby and Toddler Shoes – Review and Giveaway

Correct footwear is extremely important for first walkers. They must be comfortable and supportive to help those precious steps. When Dotty Fish got in contact asking if we wanted to try out their soft leather baby and toddler shoes, I thought it would be great to see what they are like.

We received a gorgeous yellow daisy pair in size 3-4 years for baby girl and a newborn pair in Twinkle Twinkle Mink size 0-6 months for baby dottie when she arrives in a few days.

The soft-soled shoes are expertly crafted, they have a gorgeous feel to them. I love the idea that they just slip on and off they go! There is plenty of room for growth and they look so comfy.

Do You Know Your Rights As A Working Parent?

I remember heading back to work after maternity leave the first time around and not knowing what my rights were as a working parent. This time when I head back in 2019 I will be more clued up.

The end of maternity or paternity leave is a daunting enough time without the stress and uncertainty of worrying about your entitlements.

Do you know your rights as a working parent?

Working with Babythingz, a leading supplier of cosytoes and footmuffs, we are here to map out your rights as a parent heading back to the workplace. To make this transitional time as easy as possible.

Potty Training with Little Budgie’s Done A Fudgie

Baby girl is now 26 months old. She is very switched on and has shown that she is nearly ready for toilet training. A few weeks back we reviewed the Step’n’ Potty from Bumbo, but she wasn’t quite ready for potty training then. When we saw the health visitor for her 2 year check up, she gave us some advice on potty training, but said to leave it for a couple of months due the change in her life of having a little sister next week. She said that with having a newborn in the house would be a big adjustment without having potty training as well in her life. So we will be back on the potty training in the Summer.

For now though we have been reading this great little book called Little Budgie’s Done A Fudgie by Simon Harris. It’s all about a little bird taking his first steps out of a nappy onto the potty.

Hot Weather Requires Fast Repairs: Know Your Options in Case Your Cooling Fails

If your air conditioning has stopped working for whatever reason, don’t panic! Sometimes, the problem can be much smaller than how it appears on the surface. In some cases, you won’t even need a repairman to fix it. But how can you really tell?

Luckily, there are a bunch of simple ways to diagnose it, and we’re going to take a look at the most common ones today:

Hot Weather Requires Fast Repairs Know Your Options in Case Your Cooling - Air conditioning unit

The air conditioner won’t start

The obvious one is to check whether the unit is plugged in (you know the drill). After that’s out of the way, you need to ask yourself whether the condenser is operational or not. Is the thermostat running?

Sometimes, all you need to do is set the thermostat to 5 degrees and that alone immediately solves the problem without needing to pick the unit apart or call the repairman. If that didn’t help, you could be dealing with a blown fuse, in which case, you’re going to need to contact Air conditioner repair Oshawa or one of the local service providers to fix it.
