When it comes to cooking, there’s a whole host of recipes out there that will detail exactly how and where to find the best quality ingredients as well as taking you step by step through the entire process that goes into making a delicious dish. But when’s the last time that you saw much detail going into the equipment that you use?
Sure, you might be told to “chop”, “mix”, or “fry”, but what with? Believe it or not, the tools that you use really can make as large a contribution to the success or failure of any meal as the ingredients or cooking techniques that you opt for.
So, let’s take a quick look through some essential kitchen accessories that you need to invest in to make a triumph of anything you produce!
PoundToy are a website that specialises in kids toys. Their prices are guaranteed to beat the high street. So when they got in touch asking if we wanted to try out their website and of course go shopping we jumped at the challenge.
There are many toys and games to browse through. Toys for different ages are categorised in appropriate age brackets and also brands. So if you are looking for Fireman Sam toys you can go straight to that section. I know the website is called PoundToy, but the prices range all the way from 30p right up to toys £20+.
They also sell party supplies like party bag fillers, toys and fancy dress costumes. So a great alternative if you are planning birthday parties.
You can pop over here to see what we bought on our shopping haul at PoundToy.
Welcome back to our little weekly round-up of Living Arrows 9/53 (2018). I’m enjoying getting into the routine of sharing a little bit of our life and how my gorgeous 2 year old is growing away so fast!
You can catch up on last week’s post here : Living Arrows 8/53.
The idea behind Living Arrows is to celebrate childhood. It’s name is taken from a poem by Kahlil Gibran,
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Are you thinking about what the interior design trends for 2018 are? With Spring on the horizon, (she says when we are in the middle of The Beast from the East!) it’s time to think about those spring cleaning jobs. Like sprucing up the house and planning in time to redo those areas that need attention. You may be thinking of replacing your kitchen or flooring, or even redoing the bathroom. Browsing the web for creative inspiration is a good place to start.
Lots of luxurious textures, and bright tones are big this coming year. Including glittery golds, ice-cream pastel shades and zingy colour pop colours.
Running a blog is one of the most satisfying and enjoyable things that you can do. After all, what could be better than spending your time writing about the things that you love and that you’re really passionate about? Of course, most of us live pretty hectic and full lives so the idea of setting aside a lot of time and effort to work on something that really doesn’t function as much more than a hobby can be kind of difficult to justify, but do you want your blog to be more than a hobby?
What if you wanted to take your blog and turn it into something more than just a hobby?
What if you wanted to take that passion and turn it into a career?
Well here are a few things that you need to do if you want to get started.
One of baby girl’s first phrases was “cup of tea?” So being asked to share our thoughts on the Mr Kipling Tea Set was perfect! I’m a huge fan of Mr Kipling’s cakes, French Fancies being my favourite although Cherry Bakewells come a close second. Mmmm shame I don’t have any in the kitchen cupboard at the moment!
Everyone adores Mr Kipling’s cakes! Featuring replicas of the much-loved cakes including French Fancies, Battenberg and Cherry Bakewells for arranging on the two-tiered cake stand. Each cake features a shaped bottom for children to locate the correct corresponding shape on the easily assembled cake stand – so not only is it a fantastic role play toy, it has shape-sorting fun too!
