Living Arrows 1/52 (2018)

It’s the start of a brand new year so I thought I would join in with the weekly Living Arrows linky run by Donna over at What The Redhead Said

The idea behind Living Arrows is to celebrate childhood. It’s name is taken from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

I will aim to post every Monday sharing a photo of baby girl of what we have been up to the previous week. I think it’s a wonderful idea to document how much she is developing and growing everyday. She is currently 23 months old and time is flying by quickly. Plus with a new baby arriving in April there will be lots more photos to share this coming year!

This past week has been baby girl’s second Christmas. She doesn’t understand the concept of Christmas but thoroughly enjoyed opening all her presents. My husband and I didn’t buy her a lot as we knew family would. Tearing open the wrapping paper and playing with the cardboard was her highlight!  Oh and her new kitchen! All we have had all week is her going around with her kettle and a cup saying “cup of tea?” then taking it away from you!

Blogging Goals 2018

Here we are again at the start of a new year. This year sees my blog turn 3, baby girl turn 2 years old and of course the arrival of baby girl number 2 in April. It’s such an exciting year ahead!

Blogging Goals 2018

Last year I made a quarterly plan for 2017 on how I was going to achieve my blogging goals. I completely smashed my earnings goal which I’m extremely happy about. So my ultimate 2017 blogging goal to turn the blog into a part-time job was successful!

The Best Diaries and Planners For 2018

I’m a huge stationery fiend and a few weeks back I had a dilemma that I’m sure most bloggers have. What planner shall I get for the start of a brand new year? There are many great ones on the market to suit all budgets. Some are generic, others you can customise to your own requirements.

I have been on a little gathering trip hunting down diaries and planners to review for you. There are many available out there and this list is just a few of them.

My Year In Review: 2017

My Year In Review – 2017 has been an eventful year. Lots has happened. Happy and sad. I have decided to go back through each month of 2017 and tell you a little bit of what’s happened throughout our year. I did this last year – you can read that post here.

My Year In Review 2017

From the words of my favourite film – Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start….

January

Ah January, this month was a huge decluttering time. We knew our house was going to go on the market very soon so it really was just clearing up after Christmas and getting the house photograph ready! At this point I had been back to work for a few months after maternity leave so was now in some kind of routine. I was getting well into blogging and posting most days. Although I did have one huge hiccup when I got hacked. It was a horrible time and made me so upset.

You can read my post here on  – What I learned from getting hacked and how to prevent it.

February

February was a special month. Baby girl turned 1 years old! Her first year had gone so fast. It’s amazing seeing her grow and develop into her own little character with a bright personality. We had her last Baby Sensory class on her 1st birthday which was lovely as they made it very special for her.

Next up in February was that our house was officially on the market. We had quite a few viewings to start off with, but it was from investors who wanted it for a knockdown price to rent out for the students and hospitals workers as we are very close by to the hospital. I was unimpressed with their offers.

Project Mc2 Experiment Doll Review – Ember Evergreen

I’m a huge fan of learning, in fact I never stop. Since I left college I have completed various free and Open University courses to feed my learning craving. I’m hoping to pass this onto baby girl. I’m a huge believer of children feeding their minds of new facts, and new things. Especially when it comes down to S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) subjects.

On Netflix Project Mc2 is a TV show set in a fictional city called Maywood Glen, California, it revolves around the fields of STEAM, and the adventures of super smart McKeyla McAlister and her best friends, who work for a government organization called NOV8 (pronounced “innovate”), a highly secretive group of cool teenage female government operatives who are trying to protect the world.
