New Mum Stories: Adventures With J

Welcome back to another installment of New Mum Stories. This time Laura from Adventures With J shares with us her story on becoming a mum and the struggles with breastfeeding.

New Mum Stories - Adventures with J

Over to you Laura….

When I first became pregnant I found the idea of breastfeeding very uncomfortable. It wasn’t something I had really thought about before but my initial considerations were to bottle feed. However, within only a few weeks of being pregnant I was bonding with my baby. I had a strong instinct very early that my baby was a girl and I had a name for her very quickly. Breastfeeding started to feel like a great way to connect with her once she was born. Sadly, my baby’s heart stopped beating and I never had that opportunity.

Can A Woman Have It All?

*This is a guest post from Liberty over at Liberty on the Lighter Side

Can a woman have it all?

I don’t believe so. Assuming that is, that HAVING IT ALL means to have a successful career while simultaneously raising your children, with no other child care (no crèche, no nanny, no au pair, no granny). There simply isn’t enough time in the day! You can ask any new mum and they will not remember when the last time was that they shaved their legs or had a shower or drank a cup of tea while it was hot. There’s just no time for little luxuries like those. Let alone a booming successful business!

Old El Paso Gluten Free Fajita Kit Review and Giveaway

With the weather turning for the better now BBQ season is here. So outdoor eating with friends and family is the known thing to do. We have lots of wet cold weather here in the UK therefore every bit of sun we get we appreciate it. As well as your usual BBQ food like burgers and sausages, we like to do salads and fajitas also. When we were asked to try out the new gluten free fajita kits from Old El Paso, I thought it would be ideal to see what they are like before we get our BBQ out and invite friends around.
