Bio Oil, Stretch Marks and a C-Section

When I was pregnant with baby girl I wish I had thought to use Bio-Oil for my stretch marks. I used a stretch mark cream which really wasn’t very good.
Anyway I have been using Bio-Oil recently and it is a wonderful thing. Although I am very proud of my c-section scar I’m using the Bio-Oil to help reduce the purple colour and to help it heal completely. I’m grateful to Bio-Oil for the chance to have tried it.

Following Evan by Elida May – Release Day Blitz

I am very excited to be a part of the release day blitz as well as the blog tour for Following Evan by Elida May released on 16th June 2016.

Following Evan by Elida May - book cover

Following Evan is the debut novel from Elida May – Full of Sadness, Mystery and Romance.

Book Description

Three years on from the sudden death of her husband Matt and a subsequent miscarriage, interior designer Laura is still lost in grief, hiding out in the smart London townhouse that was going to be her family home. On the encouragement of her best friend Carla, she signs up to a dating website and receives a message from a mysterious stranger, imploring her to visit him in New York because he has seen her face in his dreams.

Meanwhile, Laura visits an art gallery and is captivated by a painting of a beautiful woman in a flowing dress. It seems to be speaking directly to her, beckoning her to take a leap of faith.

These seemingly disparate events lead Laura on an epic journey to the bustling streets of the Big Apple and the desert landscape of Wyoming, where the clues to her future happiness are waiting to be discovered…

Happy Jones Families Game Review

When I was given the chance to review a family game I really couldn’t say no. We love to play games especially card games  so this Happy Families game from Go For It Games  includes the Go Fish gme as well seemed perfect.
Now I have an unusual surname and so was unable to get the game for my family name. It was pot luck which name I would get out of the list of the most popular 24 surnames and so I ended up with Jones!
Perfect!
I know a couple of Jones’s so will be fun teasing them with some facts I now know while I played the game about their surname.
The games have been redesigned especially for people with these surnames.
I love this idea – a personalised game. Great for kids to learn the origins and facts of their surname.
“Go For It Games are a small family enterprise specialising in really good little games and produce them in small quantities. Current ranges include card games for a special birthday milestone, games based on popular first names, and of course this one – popular surnames”

4 Month Baby Review

Baby girl has reached the 4 month old mark. Where has that time gone?
I can still vividly remember that freezing cold Tuesday in February bringing her home.
This is her 4 month baby review of things I have observed and experienced.
Baby Review -4 months

You probably realise by now that I don’t post pictures of her on here because I want to protect her from the online world that is out there. I know a lot of bloggers are fine with posting photos of their little ones but at this moment I feel as if I need to protect her from it. I would hate for her to get teased when she’s older by other kids that have found her mums blog with all her embarrassing baby photos. You know what kids are like.
She is turning into a gorgeous little lady and growing before our very eyes. Each day she is developing and learning something new.
One of her favourite shows to watch is Doc McStuffins and when the fix you up song comes on it really grabs her attention!
I was breastfeeding her yesterday and when that song came on she whipped herself off my boob and turned her head towards the TV smiling away. It was one of those precious moments.
Before the Doc McStuffins moment we had to go and see the nurse for her last set of immunisations. I was holding her on my knee in the waiting room and she really surprised me by calling out in her own words to the kids playing on the floor. She was laughing and cooing away not forgetting drooling down her chin!
I just thought to myself, you poor little sweet baby you just don’t know what’s coming.

I pulled her little trousers down a bit and the nurse gave her two injections in one thigh then the Meningitis B vaccine in the other. She just screamed like a banshee. Worse than the other two previous occasions.Bless her, tears rolling down her face, hugging tightly into my chest. It made me feel sick. At least it’s over now until she’s 1 year old, where the polite nurse informed me there’s 4 injections!

Baby girl is really good at her tummy time. She holds her head up. Her little legs kicking away. But she is still yet to turn over. I feel this could happen any day.
Ha ha.
I’ve been saying it for a few weeks now and what does she do last evening?
Yep turned right over in front of our eyes!

I am sure there will be no stopping her now.

Keep Calm and Carry On Linking Sunday

My Sunday Photo 12/06/2016

I just happened to walk past this gorgeous Rose in my dads garden the other day and it really caught my eye.
The pink/red colour is just so beautiful – nature at it’s best.
