I was a huge Winnie the Pooh fan when I was a child, many Pooh books were read. My favourite character was Piglet. Sweet and adorable Piglet. When we were given the chance to review these fantastic soft Winnie the Pooh toys it was more for me I suppose! Baby girl loves all soft toys, she has quite a collection. Adding Piglet and the adorable Winnie the Pooh comfort blanket will be certainly amongst her favourites.
I love to try out new gadgets in the kitchen. This past week we have been trying out the Vremi silicone baking mats and the vegetable handheld spiralizer that we were sent.
You may remember a few weeks back we tested the Vremi whistling kettle as well. I have to say Vremi have some fantastic ideas for kitchen equipment.
Vremi Silicone Baking Mats
I’ve never used baking mats before and now feel I have been missing out! These Vremi silicone mats come in a set of 3. Two of them are full size liners for your baking trays and one is a half-size. They arrived in a tube which is handy to keep them in also. As well as being non-stick they are BPA free silicone and contain a flexible fibreglass weave.
Well October went by really fast! It was such an exciting month for us as we went for our dating scan and so excited to become parents again! You can catch up my my Sunday Pregnancy Diaries here if you wish. I can’t believe it’s nearly halfway through November and I still haven’t got this post up yet.
This last month I have been busy collating items for my Kids Christmas Gift Guide. I always underestimate the time it takes to write it as well as get all the photos done. It was easily 6 hours in total.
Here we are at my Income and Stats report for October 2017.
(If you never caught up with last month’s you can find that one here)
Whether they’re used to boost their grades at school, watch their favourite films, or safely explore they’re curious about the world, laptops for children are becoming increasingly common in many tech-savvy homes.
While many homes used to simply allow children to use the family computer, the rise of personal laptops, as well as online threats, has made sharing an unsecured device a risk most parents aren’t willing to take.
What you should look for when buying a kid-friendly laptop
When purchasing a laptop for your children to use, your first consideration should be for what the laptop will be mostly used for. Will it be mostly for homework? For games? Watching movies? Keeping in touch with friends? The answer to this will better help guide what you should purchase since different laptops outrival others based on this.
For example, if you want your kids to be able to watch videos on their laptop or use it for gaming, a laptop with a bigger screen will benefit them more. On the other hand, if you are looking to provide your much younger child with a computer, consider something like the Discovery Kids Teach ‘N’ Talk Exploration laptop. This laptop doesn’t provide the functionality of a traditional laptop but instead offers interactive teaching games.
You should ideally look for a model that is portable can fit easily in a school bag. Laptops weighing under 3.5 pounds will be better for your child’s growing body and will make it easier to transport.
Storage will also depend on what your child is using the laptop for. 32GB should be a safe amount for most children, but you can also err on the side of caution by getting a model that allows expanded storage through a multi-format SD media card reader.
Last year I was lucky to be sent a stunning JORD wood watch for my husband to review. Over this past year he has had many amazing comments about how an unusual and unique watch it is. Some of these comments have been in his work meetings and others by random people!
This year I have been sent the cool turquoise luxury watch from the Cora Series. Made from Zebrawood the grain and colour has warming undertones. A sapphire crystal glass with Swarovski crystal number markers and it has a self-winding automatic drive system meaning no batteries are required. The power reserve is 36 hours.
