New Mum Stories: 3 Girls Mummy

Hello and welcome back to another instalment of New Mum Stories. This week I’m featuring Ashleigh from 3 Girls Mummy. Who tells us about her very quick birth of her younger Irish twin.

Over to you Ashleigh

I had my youngest of 3 girls just over 7 weeks ago so I have many stories I could tell throughout the years but I’ll not forget the day after I had my youngest.

Smallest (R) was born 13th July 2016. I went into hospital at 8.30am and she was here by 9.50am! Middle (L) was born 14th July 2015. This makes them Irish Twins. There’s one day less than a year between them.

Tips on becoming that Ideal Parent

I’m relatively new to parenting as you know, so I have been reading lots of different articles on how to become the ideal parent. Baby girl is 7 months old and we have now started to use the word ‘no’ with her to start introducing those boundaries. When you say no to her she will stop what ever she’s doing and look up. I feel as if she is listening.

Growing up my mum and dad taught us all about good manners and to be polite. It doesn’t cost anything to be polite.

Here are some good manners to teach your kids.

Simple phrases for young kids to start learning.

Book Review: Weird War 2 by Richard Denham

I have always had  love of history since primary school when I first heard about the Tudors and about World War 1 and 2. My mum encouraged my love of history as she is a great historian herself. You can ask her anything about history and she will know it.

When a review popped up in my inbox asking if I wanted to review Weird War 2 by Richard Denham I was instantly fascinated. Over the years I have watched lots of history programmes on World War 2. Real documentaries on the History channel as well as shows like Band of Brothers. In fact one of my all time favourite history book is Band of Brothers by Stephen E Ambrose.

Anyway going back to Weird War 2. It’s a weirdly wonderful and barely believable account of the second World War.

A Letter to my Dear Baby Girl

Dear Baby Girl

It’s 2am and I can barely keep my eyes open. Tonight you have slept 5 hours before waking yourself up by rolling on your side then over onto your belly. You drink your breastmilk like its the last milk left in the whole world. Your eyes drifting off to sleep as you enter your dream feed time.

The bedroom is nearly steeped in darkness but I can still make out your beautiful angelic face. You lie your sweaty little head in my arms. It’s your safe place. The place where you are the most relaxed. You snuggle into my breast with your little chubby cheeks and place your hand in mine.

We took the Wicked Uncle challenge

I love trawling around Twitter, reading blogs, entering a few competitions and looking out for blogger opportunities. So when I saw Wicked Uncle had put out a tweet looking for bloggers to take up their Wicked Uncle challenge, I answered their call.

You know me I love a challenge!
