Word of the Week – Planning 29/04/2016

Here we are again! It’s Friday! Happy Friday! I hope you all have that Friday feeling especially as it’s a bank holiday weekend! I know I’ve got the Friday feeling as it means we get 3 whole days of family time. We don’t plan on doing too much this weekend – I really need to do some housework though! My husband deserves a relaxing weekend as he’s had a tiresome week.
On Wednesday he had to drive to Bristol for an all day meeting, which if you live in Cornwall that means a 3 hour drive there and back the same day. Plus he still had to get up at 5:20am the next day for work again. It’s hard for him with an 11 week old baby as well that wakes up for her dream feeds at 4am. So I plan on giving him a nice chilled out weekend where he can sit and watch the Russian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.
So now that it’s the end of another week it’s time to find one word that sums up the week I’ve had.
This weeks word of the week is Planning
Word of the Week - Planning 29/04/2016

This week has been a big planning week for me, that’s why I’m using it as my Word of the Week.
I have been planning lots of different blog posts. From book reviews, to a fashion post and of course a few baby posts thrown in.
In terms of my blog for planning, this week has been my biggest week yet for being contacted by brands for reviews. I have had quite a few, so I’ve been a busy bee planning what to post where and when. I’m so excited!!!
Another thing I’ve been planning for is to take up the blogging everyday in May challenge run by rosalilium. There is a calender on her link up which you can use for topics each day to write about, or you can use your own. I will most likely be using my own topics unless I get stuck!
I took up blogging everyday (#BEDM) in May last year and only managed to miss two posts! This year I want to complete it!
I’m fairly confident I can achieve this, as this month I’ve only missed a couple of days of blogging and I’m sure good planning will see me through.
Onto a bit of personal planning. My husband and I have have also decided in 6 years time to have the holiday of a lifetime at Disneyland, Florida. It will be for his 40th and baby girls 6th birthdays. We decided to start planning how much we can save and put it in a separate little account. I know if we don’t start saving a bit each month we will get stuck when the time comes. The thing is, we are also planning on moving in those years between as well, that’s why we decided we needed a separate holiday fund pot. I love to plan ahead for things!
I hope you have all had a good week.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and hopefully the weather will be nice!

Hi Rachel, I didn't realise you were a West country girl too (why would I?), I grew up in Devon.

I take my hat off to you for even thinking about taking up a blogging challenge with an eleven week old baby! I toyed with the idea of doing one last year, then thought who am I kidding, sometimes three posts a week is tricky! I'm sure you will have no problem as you seem to be well organised.

The idea of putting a little money away for a trip to Disneyland is a good one. For my Fortieth I wanted to go to Disney Paris at Christmas (I was an almost Christmas baby), and we went. It was truly amazing, so I can imagine that Disney in Florida will be even more amazing!

    xx

I really admire how organized you are. Planning 6 years in advance is such a good idea. I'll have to check out the #BEDM. God luck with all your planning. #wotw
