When you become a mum, it does mean you are likely to spend more time with your own family. So going to see your parents has to go on the back-burner. But if they are senior, it can be a hard adjustment for them to not see you as much. In fact, if they don’t have many friends, it can be a very lonely time for them. Therefore, while you might be a busy mum, you still need to make time for your parents.

In fact, here are some ways you can help your parents to live their life to the fullest.

Get them to look after their grandchildren regularly

It can be overwhelming when you have little ones to look after. But there is a way you can get some help while giving your parents some company too. Arrange with them to take care of your kids at least once a week. You can drop them off in the morning and then you can pick them up later in the day. It will give them a bit of life if they can spend time with their grandchildren. Also, it can help you out too if they take on some of the burden. After all, you can then go and do some jobs around the house, or visit a dear friend with the kids out of the way. And you can all go out on days together too. Your parents will be delighted if you invite them to the beach or the park with your kids!

When you’re buying a family car, whether it’s your first time or you’re well versed, there are certain things that you should look out for.

Earlier this year I told you about my memories of learning to drive and buying my first car.  That first time buying a car I was looking for a little runaround. Nothing fancy, but I loved my little red fiesta.

When you have a baby, your priorities for your car change. No longer are you looking for something swish or fast, you need a car that will keep your precious cargo as safe as can be. You need something practical and spacious. Of course, these cars can be swish and fast too – it just doesn’t matter as much.

Here are the things that you should look for the next time you’re looking to replace your family car.

Who doesn’t love Fireman Sam? I can’t believe he is turning 30! I used to watch him when I was small and then with my younger brother, so it’s something I want to do with my baby girl. She loves all the new cartoons and children’s programmes already but I want to get her into the older shows, like Fireman Sam. He is timeless and never ages!

Tale as old as time….. Beauty and the Beast.

I can still hear that song in my head from the original film back when I was small, I must have seen it over and over 100’s of times. So when I was asked to review the Beauty and the Beast: Book of the Film I couldn’t say no at all. I could reminice over my childhood memories while getting stuck into it. Just to let you know I haven’t seen the new film yet, but can’t wait to do so!

I have always been a fan of movie tie-ins, but normally see the film before I read the book, this time I’m doing it the other way around.

Book Review: Beauty and the Beast - The Book of the Film

Book Description

Belle dreams of adventures like the ones she reads about in her books – until she becomes the prisoner of a fearsome Beast in a mysterious, enchanted castle. But life in the castle isn’t as terrible as Belle imagines, and soon she realizes there is more to the Beast than first meets the eye.

Experience this tale as old as time about adventure and love, about looking past first appearances, about the inner Beauty and Beast in all of us. Disney Beauty and the Beast Book of the Film is based on the live-action film starring Emma Watson.
