You won’t believe how quickly the time goes after you have your newborn. It feels like you are pregnant forever, but when your baby arrives, the time can zoom by. After all, you are getting to know your newborn and trying to adjust to your new life. By the time you manage to get into some form of routine, it’s time to go back to work. If you ask any mum, they will tell you how difficult it can be when maternity leave is over. After all, you need the money, but you don’t want to leave your baby for long. But there are some ways you can make it as painless as possible.

Here is how you can make going back to work tear-free after having a baby!

We were very excited when this mystery package arrived though our door last week from The Happy Book Club. They are a book subscription service with a ‘twist’ for pre-schoolers and young children.

But before we delve inside our package here is a little about The Happy Book Club.

The Happy Book Club supplies books through your door every month for your little ones. They tailer design packages for ages 0-2, 2-4 or 5-7. Each month the package will contain 2 wonderful books, and a craft or activity based round that months theme.

Yes that’s the marvellous thing about this book subscription, is that each month they have different theme. Also provided is an information sheet about the books, and details of that month’s charity that The Happy Book Club is donating to.

Hello and welcome back to New Mum Stories, this week we hear from Eleanor over at Savings 4 Savvy Mums. Eleanor shares with us her story of becoming a mum which I have to say sounds a little like mine – overdue, induction, epidural…

New Mum Stories - Savings 4 Savvy Mums

Over to you Eleanor…

The long awaited arrival arrived – with a bit of help!

After two and half years and a miscarriage I had made it to 38 weeks. I was just on maternity leave and full of excitement. Looking forward to a week or two at home before giving birth. I cleaned the house, cooked extra meals for when baby arrived, packed and unpacked my hospital bag and of course rested. Then I started to get bored. 39 weeks passed – nothing, 40 weeks passed – nothing, 41 weeks passed – nothing.

Last Summer we got to try out the Little Angels nappies from Asda when baby girl was just 5 months old they were the size 3’s from the Supreme Protection range. This year we have been asked again to try out and let you know what we think of the new Comfort & Protect Little Angels nappies.

We are up to size 5’s now, so need a nappy that will withstand a walking and very active toddler who will not stay still when you are changing her nappy. We have been testing these nappies for two weeks, and they are different to our normal nappy which is another supermarket brand.

Read on and find out what we thought about the Comfort & Protect range.
